Berths: passenger capacity (lower berths) of every calling ship, added per call, so a ship that calls twice counts twice. It is capacity, not passengers carried. Total for the month: 7,772,413. Busiest day: the UTC date with the most ship arrivals, arrivals in brackets. vs prev.: change in recorded calls against the previous month; ports with a shared rank read "=".

Method
Call:
a ship seen inside a port's arrival radius below 3 knots, including ships anchored off and tendering. The radius is 5 km for ports of call and private islands, 15 km for cruise ports, 20 km for large turnaround ports.
Private islands:
counted as ports; at a line's own island only that line's ships count.
Ships:
distinct hulls, out of 381 ocean cruise ships we track.
Dates:
months and days are UTC, and a call counts on the day the ship arrives.
Missed:
ships we don't track, ports outside our list, and calls no AIS position reached us for. These are figures for the tracked fleet, not official port statistics. We don't publish time in port: fixes arrive hours apart.
Comparisons:
month on month uses recorded calls. Year on year starts with the September 2027 issue.

Frozen October 1, 2026 at 12:00 UTC. The figures on this page and in the CSV never change after that; a correction is added above with its date, and subscribers who got a corrected figure by email are told.
