Icon of the Seas

Icon of the Seas is Royal Caribbean's revolutionary Icon-class cruise ship and the largest cruise ship ever built at 250,800 gross tons. Delivered by Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, she embarked on her maiden voyage in January 2024. Stretching 1,198 feet in length with 20 decks and a passenger capacity of 5,610 at double occupancy (7,600 max), Icon of the Seas represents a bold new era in cruising. The ship features eight distinct neighborhoods including Thrill Island, home to the largest waterpark at sea with six record-breaking waterslides. Category 6, the first open-air freefall waterslide at sea, stands as a signature attraction. Other highlights include the AquaDome with its stunning glass-enclosed pool area, the Surfside neighborhood designed for young families, and four swimming pools including the largest infinity pool at sea. Dining options span over 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges. Icon of the Seas sails year-round Caribbean itineraries from Miami, Florida, visiting destinations including Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas. The ship utilizes LNG (liquefied natural gas) propulsion technology, marking a significant step in sustainable cruising for the fleet.
