About Carnival Celebration

Carnival Celebration is the second Excel-class cruise ship from Carnival Cruise Line, launched in November 2022 from Meyer Turku in Finland. At 183,900 gross tons and 1,130 feet long, she carries 5,374 passengers at double occupancy and is named in honor of Carnival Cruise Line's 50th birthday. As a sister ship to Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration features the thrilling BOLT roller coaster, the first roller coaster at sea, reaching speeds of nearly 40 mph as it races along an 800-foot track above the top deck. The ship is divided into six themed zones including 820 Biscayne inspired by Miami, the Lido district for poolside fun, Summer Landing with an adults-only Serenity retreat, and The Gateway featuring the immersive Emerald City-themed dining experience. Dining spans over 20 restaurants including Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken, Emeril's Bistro 1396, and Guy Fieri's Smokehouse. The ship's three-level Celebration Central atrium hosts live entertainment, while the Theater showcases Carnival's signature Playlist Production shows. Carnival Celebration is powered by LNG fuel technology, making her one of the most environmentally advanced ships in the Carnival fleet. She homeports year-round from PortMiami, sailing Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
