Data-driven fleet analysis and grades for every major cruise line. Scores are based on fleet age, size, passenger capacity, ship class diversity, and recent innovation.
Choosing the right cruise line starts with understanding what each operator brings to the table. Our report cards analyze objective fleet data to help you compare cruise lines at a glance. A newer fleet means more modern amenities and better fuel efficiency. A larger fleet means more itinerary options. High diversity means you can find the right ship size for your travel style.
Grades are calculated from five equally-weighted metrics: fleet age (newer is better), fleet size (more ships scores higher), total passenger capacity, fleet diversity (variety of ship classes and sizes), and innovation (recent ship launches and mega ships). Each metric is scored 0-100, then averaged for an overall letter grade.
Royal Caribbean International currently has the highest fleet grade of A (87/100), based on fleet age, size, capacity, diversity, and innovation metrics.
Report card grades are recalculated every hour using live fleet data from our database. When a cruise line launches a new ship or retires an older vessel, the grades update automatically.
Currently, report card grades are based entirely on objective fleet data: ship age, count, capacity, class diversity, and recent launches. Customer satisfaction metrics may be added in future updates.
