About Freedom of the Seas
Freedom of the Seas was a groundbreaking cruise ship when she launched in May 2006 as the world's largest cruise ship from Aker Yards in Finland. At 154,407 gross tons and 1,112 feet long, she introduced the Freedom class that pushed cruise ship design to new heights. Carrying up to 4,375 passengers, Freedom of the Seas was the first cruise ship to feature a FlowRider surf simulator, the H2O Zone interactive water park, a full-size boxing ring, and a rock climbing wall.
