Liberty of the Seas

Liberty of the Seas is a Freedom-class cruise ship from Royal Caribbean International, delivered in May 2007 from Aker Yards in Finland. Weighing 154,407 gross tons with a length of 1,112 feet, she held the record as the world's largest cruise ship upon her maiden voyage. Liberty carries up to 4,375 passengers and 1,360 crew members across 15 guest decks. The ship introduced the Freedom-class hallmarks to the fleet, including the FlowRider surf simulator, an expansive sports court, rock climbing walls, and the cantilevered whirlpools extending over the sides of the ship. Liberty received a comprehensive Royal Amplification makeover in 2016, adding the Perfect Storm waterslide complex, a splashaway Bay kids' water park, and Giovanni's Table Italian restaurant. The ship also features the Vitality at Sea Spa, a full casino, the three-story Royal Theater with Broadway-style productions, and an ice skating rink in Studio B. Liberty of the Seas currently sails from Galveston, Texas, offering convenient cruise access for guests across the southern United States with Western Caribbean itineraries calling at destinations in Mexico, Honduras, Belize, and the Cayman Islands.
