Queen Mary 2 is one of the most iconic ocean liners in the world and the flagship of the storied Cunard Line. Launched in January 2004 from Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France, she measures 148,528 gross tons and spans 1,132 feet making her the largest ocean liner ever built. Designed as a true transatlantic ocean liner rather than a cruise ship, Queen Mary 2 features a deep draft and a powerful propulsion system that can maintain speed through the North Atlantic's challenging seas. She carries 2,691 passengers and is the only ship offering regularly scheduled transatlantic crossings between Southampton, England, and New York City. Queen Mary 2 features the largest ballroom at sea, the Queens Room, a planetarium (Illuminations), the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, and extensive library.
