Ships at Québec berth alongside piers: the port lists its cruise quays by length and depth at low tide, and the pages used here describe no tender operation. Piers 21 and 22 at Pointe-à-Carcy are the main passenger piers, with direct access to the Port of Québec cruise terminal and a few steps from the Petit Champlain district. Pier 30 on rue de l'Estuaire is a few minutes' walk from Old Québec. Pier 81, Quai Paquet, is in Lévis. Berths are in different sectors of the port, and the port's cruise schedule gives the wharf for each ship.

Piers 21 and 22, Pier 30 and Quai Paquet

The port lists the cruise piers by number. Pier 21 is 205.7 m long with 11.7 m of water at low tide, and Pier 22 is 325 m long with 10.7 m. Pier 30 is 320 m long with 10 m. Quai Paquet, Pier 81, is 200 m long with 9.8 m.

Piers 21 and 22 are at 84 rue Dalhousie, Québec G1R 4M8 (46.816983, -71.200673). The entrance is from rue Dalhousie at the corner of rue Quai Saint-André, facing the Old Port parking lot. Pier 30 is at 300 rue de l'Estuaire, Québec G1K 8M8 (46.821957, -71.208304). Quai Paquet is at 6075 rue Saint-Laurent, Lévis G6V 3P5.

The port's terminal page puts Piers 21 and 22 under the Ross-Gaudreault terminal, and names Terminal 30 separately. The port's pages use the names Ross-Gaudreault and Terminal 84 in different places and do not say whether they are one building.

Walking from Pier 30 and Pointe-à-Carcy

The Ross-Gaudreault terminal lies near the old city along the Petit Champlain district. From Pier 30 the port gives a few minutes on foot to Old Québec and offers a shuttle for passengers and crew. During cruise periods only authorised vehicles may enter that sector.

Cycle-taxi, Route 11 and the airport fare

The port's customer-service page lists a cycle-taxi service at fixed rates by destination. It lists Route 11, public transit that runs through Old Québec, at CAD 3.75, with US dollars accepted. Both are undated on the port's page.

The fixed taxi fare between the Port of Québec wharves and Jean-Lesage International Airport is $41.40, and the port says it can change without notice (checked 2026-10-26). The port's boarding page puts Jean-Lesage International Airport 20 minutes away.

Boarding at Québec

Québec is a departure and arrival port on Canada and New England itineraries. The port's list of lines embarking here includes Crystal, Cunard (Queen Mary 2), Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Pearl Seas Cruises and Princess Cruises. It advises every passenger to reach the boarding quay at least 2 hours before the ship leaves.

The port says its two terminals are a 15-minute walk from Gare du Palais, the VIA Rail station, with daily service between Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec. Passengers travelling from the United States by Amtrak arrive in Montréal and change to VIA Rail for Québec.

Drop-off, parking and bags

At Terminal 84, the drop-off zone is free for 10 minutes and then costs $6 an hour. Terminal 30 has separate arrivals and departures drop-off areas, signposted. The Louise Basin car park, for stays up to 30 days, is a 15-minute walk from Terminal 84 and 12 minutes from the Pier 30 terminal. It costs $84 for 7 days and $165 for 30, and those rates are available only on the mobile app. All three prices are undated on the port's page.

Most passengers leave the ship between 6:30 and 10:30 a.m. Porters are on site to carry bags to the bus, limousine, taxi or private car, and tipping is optional. Luggage storage is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for disembarkation only, at CAD 10 per bag (card payment only). The port lists Hertz, Avis, Budget, Enterprise and National/Alamo for car rental.

Inside the terminals

The Ross-Gaudreault terminal has free Wi-Fi, up to 40 check-in counters, up to 500 chairs in the waiting area, a separate bag drop zone and a tourist information point run by Destination Québec cité. Its lower level is reached by lift, escalator or stairs. Terminal 30 was built in 2020 for the largest cruise ships and has up to 32 check-in counters and up to 1000 waiting chairs. The port's customer-service page places Café du Monde inside cruise terminal 84.
