AIDAnova

AIDAnova was a trailblazer in cruise industry sustainability when she launched in December 2018 from Meyer Werft in Germany as the world's first cruise ship fully powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas). At 183,858 gross tons and 1,105 feet long, she carries approximately 5,200 passengers and belongs to AIDA Cruises, the leading German cruise brand. AIDAnova is built on the same platform that would later be used for Costa Smeralda and the Carnival Excel class. The ship features AIDA's signature casual resort atmosphere tailored for German-speaking guests, with an extensive Beach Club featuring a retractable glass roof, the Four Elements outdoor adventure area with waterslides, and a large Body & Soul wellness complex. Dining encompasses 17 restaurants and 23 bars, following AIDA's generous inclusive dining philosophy. The Theatrium, a 360-degree entertainment venue, hosts spectacular shows and live performances. AIDA's signature lip-logo bow art makes AIDAnova instantly recognizable at any port. Children and teens are well catered for with dedicated club facilities and family-friendly programming. AIDAnova primarily sails Canary Islands and Mediterranean itineraries during winter and summer respectively, departing from popular German embarkation ports and offering the relaxed, fun-focused cruising experience that has made AIDA one of Europe's most popular cruise brands.
