Oasis of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas revolutionized the cruise industry when she debuted in December 2009 as the largest cruise ship ever built at that time. Constructed at STX Europe's shipyard in Turku, Finland, this 225,282 gross ton vessel introduced the now-iconic neighborhood concept that divides the ship into seven distinct themed areas. At 1,187 feet long with a capacity of 6,780 passengers, Oasis of the Seas was a quantum leap in cruise ship design. She pioneered features like Central Park, a lush open-air garden in the center of the ship with real trees and plants, and the Boardwalk, complete with a hand-crafted carousel and the dramatic AquaTheater amphitheater at the stern. The ship underwent a major amplification in 2019, adding new waterslides including the Ultimate Abyss, a redesigned pool deck, and updated dining and entertainment venues. Oasis features two FlowRider surf simulators, a zip line, rock climbing walls, and an ice skating rink. Dining options include Giovanni's Table, Chops Grille, and 150 Central Park. As the ship that started it all for the Oasis class, she remains one of the most influential vessels in maritime history, currently sailing Caribbean itineraries from the East Coast of the United States.
