Norwegian Breakaway

Norwegian Breakaway is the lead ship of Norwegian Cruise Line's Breakaway class, launched in April 2013 from Meyer Werft in Germany. At 145,655 gross tons and 1,069 feet long, she carries 3,963 passengers at double occupancy and features colorful hull art by legendary pop artist Peter Max depicting the New York City skyline. Norwegian Breakaway was specifically designed to capture the spirit of New York, originally homeporting from Manhattan Cruise Terminal with year-round sailings. The ship introduced The Waterfront, a revolutionary open-air promenade that wraps around Deck 8 with oceanfront restaurants and bars, a concept that became a signature NCL feature. The three-deck 678 Ocean Place provides an indoor entertainment hub with restaurants, bars, and the Social comedy club. The Aqua Park features five multi-story waterslides, while the Sports Complex includes a ropes course, rock climbing wall, and basketball court. Dining highlights include Le Bistro French restaurant, Cagney's Steakhouse, Moderno Churrascaria, and the innovative Raw Bar at Ocean Place. Entertainment features Broadway shows and the Cirque-style Burn the Floor. The Haven by Norwegian offers an exclusive suite complex with private pool and restaurant. Norwegian Breakaway now sails from various ports on Caribbean, Bermuda, and seasonal European itineraries.
