Royal Caribbean's Star of the Seas has completed its first year of service since launching in July 2025. The 250,800-ton Icon-class ship, delivered by Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, made its home at Port Canaveral and launched inaugural cruises on August 31, 2026.
The ship carries 5,610 passengers and sails seven-night Caribbean itineraries rotating between the western and eastern regions. Itineraries include stops at Roatan in Honduras, Cozumel in Mexico, CocoCay in the Bahamas, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Costa Maya, St. Kitts, and Puerto Rico, with planned visits to Jamaica and Haiti. The vessel's christening featured astronaut Kellie Gerardi as the official godmother, held aboard the ship's AquaDome venue with performances by onboard entertainment teams.
According to Royal Caribbean's published schedule, the Star of the Seas will continue seven-night Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral through April 2028, with all itineraries featuring a stop at Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
For passengers planning Caribbean vacations, the Star of the Seas offers consistent, week-long departure options from Florida with a reliable mix of both regions. The stable two-year schedule through spring 2028 provides booking certainty for travelers planning ahead.
