Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled the design for its new loyalty program pins, rolling out September 1 when the Carnival Rewards program launches. The circular commemorative pins feature a ship-specific design with the vessel's image centered, the Carnival funnel logo, and the year of sailing at the bottom, allowing guests to document their cruise history by ship and date.
Two loyalty tiers will receive pins: Platinum and Diamond members. The Platinum pin has a silver frame with red, gold, and platinum-colored dots arranged in graduated sizes in the upper left corner. The Diamond pin features the same layout but adds a larger, faceted diamond dot. Both designs include the status level written along the pin's upper border. Gold level pins have been discontinued under the new Carnival Rewards program, ending a tradition from the previous VIFP loyalty scheme.
Guests can collect their pins from the Pixels Photo Gallery onboard during their sailing. The onboard pickup system has been standard since 2021, replacing the previous practice of leaving pins in staterooms. This method reduces unnecessary foot traffic in cabins and prevents pins from being discarded or lost if guests don't want them. Carnival has historically issued new pin designs annually with different stylized elements, though it remains unclear whether the new Carnival Rewards pins will follow that same yearly rotation.
A word of caution: supplies can run short, particularly later in the year. In January 2026, shipping delays prevented some loyal cruisers from claiming their pins entirely. Guests who miss out during their sailing can contact Carnival customer service afterward to request one, though availability depends on remaining inventory.
For Carnival loyalists who collect pins as souvenirs and records of their cruise history, the ship-specific, dated design preserves the collectible appeal of the tradition under the new program structure.
