Disney Adventure to Add Malaysia Calls Starting in Late 2026

Disney Cruise Line's 6,000-passenger Disney Adventure will begin docking in Langkawi, Malaysia, starting in late December 2026, marking a major shift for the ship since its spring debut. The vessel, which has operated exclusively at-sea itineraries from Singapore since launching earlier this year, will now offer three- and four-night sailings that include time ashore exploring the island's rainforests and beaches alongside Disney's trademark onboard entertainment and service.

The 208,000-ton ship will continue year-round operations from Singapore through at least December 2027, mixing the new Malaysia port calls with shorter sea-day-only options for passengers seeking different cruise experiences. Disney Cruise Line's decision to add ports comes after months of feedback from travelers booking Southeast Asia itineraries, many of whom wanted the option to explore regional destinations rather than spend entire cruises at sea.

The Malaysia expansion is one piece of Disney's broader deployment announcements for 2027 and 2028. The Disney Wish will return Disney Cruise Line to New York City for the first time in four years, sailing itineraries to Canada and Bermuda starting in the 2027-28 season. That same year, two Disney ships will operate from Puerto Rico simultaneously for the first time, and the Disney Destiny will shift its home port from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral. Disney is also making inaugural visits to Colón and Fuerte Amador as part of Panama Canal itineraries.

Castaway Club loyalty members can book the new Malaysia itineraries beginning August 31, 2026, with general public bookings opening September 8. For cruise passengers considering Southeast Asia trips, the addition of Langkawi port time gives families more flexibility in choosing between full exploration itineraries and relaxation-focused sea days.
