While independent exploration is possible, the port area lacks major attractions within walking distance of the docks, and the crowds and traffic make self-guided touring less appealing. Booking an organized excursion to nearby beaches, water activities, or island sights removes the hassle of navigating heavy foot traffic and getting oriented in an unfamiliar destination. Expect congestion throughout your visit. Multiple ships dock simultaneously, creating busy, noisy conditions especially during late morning and early afternoon hours when passengers fan out across the port district.
