Royal Caribbean will restart year-round service in Singapore starting October 2026, bringing back summer sailings to Southeast Asia for the first time since 2023. The Navigator of the Seas will be based at Marina Bay Cruise Centre through October 2028, a significant shift from the line's previous seasonal-only approach to the region.

The ship will offer three- to 12-night itineraries visiting Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, with longer voyages extending to Japan and China. This move comes after Navigator was originally scheduled to sail West Coast routes from Los Angeles. The deployment marks Royal Caribbean's return to consistent summer operations in the region after the Spectrum of the Seas concluded its two-year Southeast Asia deployment in April 2024.

Royal Caribbean is making additional moves to strengthen its Asia presence. The Voyager of the Seas, initially planned for exclusive Australian sailings in 2027-28, will now operate more diverse itineraries across the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, and Far East. To cover Australia's market, Royal Caribbean is sending the Ovation of the Seas to Brisbane in 2027-28, where it will join the Anthem of the Seas.

These redeployments signal confidence in Asia-Pacific demand. Cruise passengers planning Southeast Asia itineraries now have more choice and frequency than in recent years. The longer deployment commitment means Royal Caribbean is more likely to offer consistent pricing and sailing schedules rather than the limited winter-only windows travelers faced previously. Passengers interested in Japan, China, Vietnam, or Thailand cruise options should expect more availability and varied sailing lengths in the coming two years.
