Regent Reveals Crystal Light Installation on Seven Seas Prestige

Regent's new Seven Seas Prestige will debut Lumière, a nightly crystal light installation show in the Starlight Atrium starting December 2026.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is installing an 11-deck crystal light sculpture as the centerpiece of a nightly sound-and-light show aboard Seven Seas Prestige, launching in December 2026. Called Lumière, the daily pre-dinner performance will premiere at 6:25 p.m. in the ship's Starlight Atrium and feature choreographed lighting and custom orchestral music synchronized to the installation's effects.

The crystal structure contains more than 300 handcrafted Bohemian crystal rods, designed and built in partnership with Czech glassmaker Preciosa Lighting and Studio DADO. Regent has worked with Preciosa on chandeliers throughout its fleet and extended the partnership for this signature installation. The crystal work draws on centuries-old Bohemian glassmaking traditions, though the lighting effects themselves use modern programming technology to shift throughout the day.

Seven Seas Prestige marks Regent's first new ship class in a decade, and the light show aims to become a signature onboard experience. Passengers can watch Lumière from multiple levels of the atrium, with Galileo's Bar offering a prime viewing spot before dinner service. The nightly ritual is designed to mark the transition from afternoon to evening, timed to coincide with the ship's sunset hours.

Three additional Prestige-class vessels are already on order, scheduled to arrive in 2030, 2033, and 2036. For cruise passengers planning sailings on Regent, Lumière represents a selling point unique to this new class: a branded evening experience that sets the tone for dinner service and signals the ship's positioning in the ultra-luxury market.
