MSC Changes Winter 2027–28 Deployment for World Europa and Asia

MSC Cruises is swapping deployment regions for its two newest ships in the winter of 2027-28, moving the MSC World Europa to the western Mediterranean and sending the MSC World Asia to the South Caribbean instead. Passengers with existing bookings are being notified of the changes and offered alternatives.

The MSC World Europa will debut in the Mediterranean in December 2027, operating seven-night voyages from multiple ports. Passengers can embark from Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina, or Valletta, with the ship visiting all six destinations across each week-long sailing. The MSC World Asia, originally scheduled to sail those same Mediterranean routes, will pivot to the Caribbean, offering both seven-night and two-week itineraries. Caribbean cruisers can board in Martinique, Guadeloupe, or Barbados, with the ship calling at ports including St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Kitts, Dominica, and Saint Vincent.

MSC had initially planned to operate the MSC World Europa in the Middle East during the winter season, a departure that has prompted the redeployment shuffle. The cruise line is contacting all affected passengers directly. Those who booked the MSC World Europa for Middle East sailings can either transfer their reservation to a different MSC cruise or receive a full refund. Passengers booked on the MSC World Asia for Mediterranean cruises or on the MSC Meraviglia for Caribbean cruises will also be reached out to about how the changes affect their specific bookings.
