Royal Caribbean Changes Disembarkation Port Mid-Cruise

Royal Caribbean redirected the final port for a May 15 Alaska sailing aboard Ovation of the Seas from Seward to Whittier due to construction activities at the original destination. The seven-night cruise departs Vancouver and visits Ketchikan, Sitka, and Skagway before scenic passages through the Inside Passage and Hubbard Glacier. Whittier sits approximately 80 minutes from Anchorage, the region's primary travel hub, minimizing disruption for most passengers. The cruise line will automatically adjust all shore excursions and post-cruise transfers for guests who booked transportation through Royal Caribbean. Passengers with independent arrangements must contact their providers directly to confirm new pickup locations. Cruise tour guests will begin their land portions from Whittier instead. Ovation of the Seas operates weekly Alaska sailings through mid-September, alongside Voyager of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas, and Anthem of the Seas.
