MSC Cruises is rapidly expanding its North American presence, launching sailings from Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, and Seattle despite historically focusing less on the U.S. market than competitors like Carnival and Royal Caribbean. The line operates some of the world's largest ships outside Royal Caribbean's fleet, including MSC World Europa and MSC World America, with additional mega-ships under construction. MSC distinguishes itself through aggressive pricing—a week aboard MSC Grandiosa costs $724 per person from Port Canaveral in July 2027, undercutting comparable Carnival and Royal Caribbean sailings. However, the cruise line offers fewer included restaurants than competitors, with only buffet and main dining typically covered by fare. MSC's Ocean Cay private island, located 65 miles from Miami, features expansive beaches and distinctive turquoise waters. The company plans a second island, Sandy Cay, debuting in 2028.
