Norwegian Sun continues to experience significant itinerary disruptions during its current Baltic cruise. The 78,309-gross-ton vessel has dropped its visit to Kiel, Germany, and will now proceed directly to Copenhagen for an extended two-night stay to complete propulsion system repairs. Passengers originally booked for nine nights visiting multiple Baltic ports have seen three destinations eliminated already. Norwegian Cruise Line is offering affected guests a 25% refund of their cruise fare, plus a $100 onboard credit and 25% future cruise discount. Shore excursions canceled in Kiel will be credited to onboard accounts. The cruise line confirmed its technical teams have identified the repair solution and hope the additional Copenhagen time will resolve issues before the ship's next scheduled departure on July 3. Satellite tracking shows Norwegian Sun currently sailing at 11 knots from Riga, Latvia.
