Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas emerged from six weeks of dry dock at Spain's Navantia shipyard with significant onboard enhancements. The 226,963-gross ton vessel received nearly 100 new staterooms and multiple dining venues, including the Lime & Coconut pool bar, El Loco Fresh Mexican restaurant, and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade. The Pesky Parrot tiki bar replaced the former Bionic Bar. The Oasis-class ship, last refitted in April 2021, resumed service May 21 from Barcelona with a 4-night Mediterranean sailing to Palma de Mallorca and Marseille. The refit sustained approximately 350 jobs locally, with peak employment reaching 700 workers. Harmony will continue Mediterranean cruising through July before repositioning to Florida for Caribbean itineraries. The upgrades enhance both guest experience and revenue potential through increased capacity.
