Carnival Adventure and Encounter Complete First Year of Service

Carnival Cruise Line's Adventure and Encounter complete first year following transition from P&O Australia, with plans for expanded homeports.

Carnival Cruise Line marked a significant milestone as the Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter completed their first year of operations following their transition from P&O Cruises Australia in March 2025. Both vessels, originally built for Princess Cruises in the early 2000s, underwent refreshes that included Carnival's signature features and updated exterior designs. The Carnival Adventure sails from Sydney alongside the Carnival Splendor, offering three- to 12-night voyages to destinations including Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia. The line plans to expand homeports to Melbourne, Adelaide, Auckland, and Singapore. The Adventure will reposition to North America in April 2028 for summer sailings before returning to Australia. The Carnival Encounter recently completed drydock in Singapore with significant upgrades to pool decks, Cloud 9 Spa, and technical systems. It has resumed its Brisbane-based year-round schedule with comparable itinerary options. Originally reported by Cruise Maven, Cruise Maven News (May 17, 2026).
